BrainBaazi and CricPLay app launched by Times of India Group to enjoy sports and quiz games
Times Internet Limited, a subsidiary of Bennett Coleman Limited has started CricPlay, a new fantasy sports mobile app and BrainBaazi, a real-time trivia quiz mobile based application. BrainBaazi allows users to answer multiple trivia and general knowledge questions over a 10 minute period, with the prize pool getting divided amongst all those who answer all questions correctly.
CricPlay allows users to play daily fantasy leagues and other kinds of prediction games through public and private contests. Both the quiz and fantasy sports app are at present free to play and do not charge users any entry fee. The apps however allow users to win cash prizes which can be redeemed through Paytm.
How to play BrainBaazi?
All you need is to go to Google play if you have an Android Mobile or go to Apple store if you own an iPhone and download the free Brain Baazi app.

- Live shows are hosted everyday at 9 pm. The host appears on your screen and asks you simple questions. Just choose the right answer to move to the next level.
How to play CricPlay?
To play at Cricplay all you need is to download the free app from Google play store for your Android devices. At the time of writing this app was not yet available at iTunes for iOS smartphone users.
Now you can sign up on CricPlay using your 10 digit mobile number. The mobile no. is verified using a 6 digit OTP sent to you. After verifying your mobile no., you also need to enter your username.
Take part in Fantasy Cricket Contests where you Pick your favourite 11 cricketers from both the teams at are playing in an upcoming match to form your own Fantasy Team for free. Play with the world & win money. The best performing teams are awarded cash prizes at the end of the match. You can add more than 1 team to a contest.
Also you can play with your friends and create private contests.
Predict match results correctly every day to win the contest. Consecutive correct predictions become a streak. The longest weekly streak qualifies for the “Googly” question, get it right & win the weekly cash prize.
As you play the mega contests you can win cash prizes. The winnings can be transferred to your PayTM wallet. The minimum withdrawal limit is ₹50. You can only withdraw your winnings if they are ₹50 or more. If you have winnings below this limit, keep participating in more contests and win more to reach this minimum amount.
Interestingly however, even though the apps do not involve any entry fee and staking of money by players, they do not allow users from states like Assam, Odisha, Nagaland and Telangana to participate in the games. CricPlay does not allow users below the age of 18 years to participate in the contests.
Note that the Times Group, which is the biggest media and entertainment conglomerate in India has forayed into the social gaming and hopes to ignite much more interest, competition and business deals in the gaming industry in future.
